FOI Request - MOE-2023-30037 Records regarding communications between Ministry staff on the inclusion of renewable natural gas or RNG in the 2022 CleanBC Climate Change Accountability Report; email communications that relate to the following paragraph and the decision to include these reductions in the report's forecast; draft versions of this section of the report (titled CleanBC Projections to 2025 and 2030), including any comments or changes referencing the next sentence or its earlier iterations. 'The forecasts include reductions from B.C. utilities purchasing renewable natural gas (RNG) produced and used outside of B.C. This accounts for 1.2 MtCO2e of emissions reductions for both the 2025 and 2030 targets in the model outputs. The 1.2 MtCO2e represents 5% of the total reductions needed to achieve the 2030 target and 12% of total reductions needed to achieve the 2025 target. The purchase of out-of-province RNG and how to account for it in B.C.’s annual progress to targets is under consideration.'
